Nearing Home by Billy Graham

Billy Graham is 94 and he has lots of stories to tell. This was a great collection. He not only tells about the people he's met and their struggles in life, he gives answers as to what to look for and how to carefully deal with difficult situations to make one's old age easier. I enjoyed the book so much I ordered three more to hand out to my elderly friends. Also young people should read it to save themselves some headaches.

Nearing Home should be everyone's handbook for preparing for the end of life.

If I could afford to do so, I would buy cases of this book and give out to people because it gentles the rejected task of preparing for the latter years, or even the younger years, of life. Much of what is in this book has been applied to my own family in the preparation for my mother's death. If it is followed, it will make the passing of a loved one so easy on the family and survivors. Thank you, Billy for writing this book.

My mother borrowed this from a friend, and she returned it before she finished it. I had to get it for her since she had gotten into the habit of reading a little bit each day from "Nearing Home." When I would go to visit her, she always had something to share from Dr. Graham, and she was so affected by his wisdom that I became interested in reading the book, as well. It is a wellspring of hope and faith, and I would encourage anyone to get this book and keep it beside your favorite chair.
