И снова единственным её покровителем и попутчиком на жизненном пути оказывается �Виконт�. Так начинается их большое путешествие в Петербург, город, любовью героев и писателя превращенный в полноценного персонажа �Третьей истины�.
Все атрибуты времени выписаны досконально. Цены, погода, исторические личности – подлинные. Так же подлинно и пространство: города и дороги, каждый километр которых описан сочно, достоверно и увлекательно…
Вместе с Сашенькой вам предстоит постепенно узнать человека, чьи принципы, понимание мира, убеждения и формируют �Третью Истину�, истину �Виконта�, истину Поля Шаховского.
Но сможет ли он сохранить свою истину в стремительно меняющемся, разламывающемся мире? Сможет ли выжить и быть рядом со своей маленькой девочкой?

I highly recommend this book to all people who love to read as I do!

I have been reading this book holding my breath. It is not just the style, the language, the characters, Vikont and Sasha, the timing - that period of Russian history filled w pain and chaos that authors described so accurately and put so much heart into it. The overall intellectual level of this book is outstanding. It is educational, I learned a lot - about art and history, nobleness and generosity. I cannot wait to read next volume, to find out what happened to Sasha, such a promising distinguished girl who got in the history turmoil and her friend Vicont - handsome, high hearted and high minded gentleman.

Very interesting book

The book exceeded my expectations. It is very interesting, easy to read. However it is not anything “light-minded”. A lot of information, a lot of sensations, a lot of food for thought. I would not call it “historical”, history is only background for it. It is more “the game of characters”, with precise psychological ground. (It is more true for the girl, Sasha; the soul of the man- Viscount is rather covered, but I really admired him)
I would recommend the book to those who like to feel with charismatic heroes.

Definitely worth reading!

Out of all books published in Russian lately (an not only in Russian, maybe), this one certainly stands out! I enjoyed every single page of it. The plot is thoroughly worked, to every detail, and keeps you interested all the time. It is very amusing and doesn't feel like heavyweight reading, but by no means would I call it a shallow book - quite on the contrary, there are some deep thoughts concealed between the lines. Vivid language, great sense of humour demonstrated by the author, credible characters (and yes, I did fall in love with Paul!). Looking forward to the rest of the story (as far as I understand it, this is not the end yet).
In terms of the book itself, I think it would be better in hard cover, and it would also benefit from a bit more work from the editor (particularly with regard to punctuation!)
